My World..Some Updates

I am a total slacking blogger in the summer. The sun and summer hours just leave me feeling spent by the end of the day. I will try and do better my lovies.

So what's been going on? Something very exciting around the old Stemp household...are you ready? NO MORE DIAPERS!! That right- both my little gremlins are potty trained through the night and all. I am so proud of them!

I really didn't think Parker was ready to go through the night, but guess what? He was. Getting up every few hours has been exhausting, but well worth it. Callie has been doing great for a couple months now. Parker, just a couple nights. Yeeehaw! I might have a bonfire tonight and BURN my leftover diapies.

As far as my running goes, I have will give myself a B. I have been sticking to my running schedule for the most part, but still playing hookey every now and then. For example, I work Mondays and Tuesdays every week. I always plan for Monday to be a rest day and to run Tuesday nights after work and dinner and blah blah blah..however, I cannot seem to find the energy to make myself go running. So I stay home and clean, do laundry, and go to bed. I don't want to end up hating running, so forcing myself to go and pushing myself to stop being lazy is a fine line.

I am up to running 4 miles on my long run days, and this weekend will be up to 4.2. I would like to be up to 5 miles by the end of the summer. I am going really slow though when it comes to increasing my mileage. I don't want to end up with the dreaded shin splints again. Yowzas those hurt!

As far as the hubs is concerned, he's hopped on the exercise bandwagon and is doing great. He has totally given up pop, which I am so jealous of, I want to punch him in his cute lil eyeball. As if giving up the deliciousness of carbonated sugar water is that easy!

So that is what we have been up to. How is your summer been? Did you know the days are getting shorter already? BOOOOO!! Sorry to be the Debbie Downer on that one.

Hope you all have a good Fourth of July!
