Wow, can't believe it's been over a month since my last post. Time flys! Let's see...Callie had her 4 month appointment January 5th. She was 12 lbs, 4 oz. and 23 3/4 inches long. She got her shots and did amazing! She didn't even cry the first 2 shots, but the last 2 got her, our poor girl. I guess she's used to her big brother picking on her. She's still rolling over from belly to back, but hasn't quite got the back to belly urge yet. We did start her on baby foods (organic of course!) after that appointment, but she just wasn't ready. She would have a good day, then want absolutely nothing to do with food for the next few, and so on and so on. I decided to give her a couple weeks to see if that would help. Sure enough, Cory attempted to feed her last week and she really was so much more into it. She's opening her mouth for each bite, and actually tonight, almost ate a full jar! We're thinking tomorrow we are going to add a fruit for breakfast along with her veggie for dinner.
As for Parker, well, he's still not walking. Getting so close though!! He will stand for a few seconds and attempt to take a step if someone is there on the other end to catch him. It's alright though. He's 15 months old and we won't get concerned until about 18 months. Until then, my back will have to keep suffering! He's so heavy! Still waiting for our 1st word too. Is this kid keeping me waiting or what? He's got all kinds of sounds for certain things, so it's pretty easy to figure out what he wants for us that know him real well. I guess he has his whole life to walk and talk, so it's alright with me. I would just love to hear a "mama" though. We're working on getting our little dude to sleep in his own bed. I think we created a monster! We never intended to be a co-sleeping family, but that's just the way it has worked out. Callie sleeps in her bed just fine, but crazy Parker just wont! Who's in charge here, right? Well, we are working on it. He's got a cold right now though and cutting more teeth, so we feel kinda bad for him and we are letting him sleep with us so he gets some kind of sleep at night. His cough is keeping us all awake though. It's okay, it's like that song says that says someday we will miss these days!

Merry Christmas!
What a Christmas! Parker and Callie got TONS of gifts this year...our little house is stretched to the max I think! They are having fun exploring all their new toys everyday. Cory got me a tennis racket so I can finally learn to play! Yay! Here are some pictures from the past week from all the fun activities...

Luminarias!
I drove Parker and Callie around Pasco this evening...don't worry, right before the big snow storm hit again. The 3 of us took a cruise after dinner and checked out the luminarias. It was so pretty! The neighborhoods seemed to be hit or miss. Some went way out, while some didn't even put up one strand of lights! Overall,it was really cool though. Parker got to see 3 Santa Clauses and even got his first candy cane...which he hated! After that, we went and looked at the house across from Ron's Foodmart that has the lights to music. That was awesome too! We haven't made it out to Senske yet, but I hope too maybe on Christmas. So that was our exciting night. Now we are all bundled up by the pellet stove warming our little toes..too cozy!

SAVE THE DATE!!

Got an email today from the March of Dimes Washington Chapter...March for Babies date has been announced....APRIL 25TH!!! So make sure you sign up for our team and walk with us to support the March of Dimes. Registration and fundraising starts December 8th. Stay tuned for our official team name this week so you can sign up. We won't be "Team Parker" this year, as cousin Brady and Ms. Callie Bug were also born premature, and we want to incorporate everyone into our family team name.
Also, remember that petition I bugged you all to sign? Well we have success! Here's what the email said: In May 2008, after testimony from the March of Dimes, the Washington State Board of Health approved the addition of 15 disorders to be screened for at birth. Now more than 80,000 babies born every year in Washington State will be screened for 27 conditions at birth; and if any of these conditions are detected, treatments are available to enable the babies to live a normal, healthy life.
Good job everyone who helped! See, we do make a difference!

Callie Pics, 3 month update
I can't believe my baby girl is already 3 months old on Friday! Time is sure flying by. It's almost time to start buying baby food again! At least I got a few months off from buying that stuff. I'm really thinking I'm going to try and make as much baby food as possible. Organic baby food is more expensive in the jar, so I'm thinking maybe by making it and freezing it, it will be cheaper.
Speaking of saving money, wanted to let you guys know that today being "cyber Monday", I got some good deals at oldnavy.com. Use the checkout codes "savenow" and "oneday" and get free shipping plus 20% off! It's such a good deal!
Anyways, back to my Callie-Bug. She's so great! She's still sleeping through the night (thank God!), she's rolling over from belly to back, she gets up on her little forearms when she's on her tummy, she's cooing up a storm, and social smiling!! I think she really wants to be up playing with Parker. Wierd to think she could be crawling around in just a few months. Then I'll really have my hands full! I'll have to keep track of yet another person and make sure she isn't hurting herself or someone else! lol!
