Let's Catch Up!

We've been so busy with baseball, tball, trying to sell our house, and work- We've had zero down time. It's been pretty nuts around here, but such is life!

Both kids are just killing it in tball. I'm very proud. Callie is really enjoying the game and listens so well. She's a natural. Parker loves playing catcher and hitting of course! He does not enjoy hitting off the tee and can't wait to move up to coach pitch.

Cory and I have also decided to open our own screenprinting company, . Cory does most of the work right now, but I'm learning. Actually, we are all learning!

We've gone to a WSU game to cheer on Uncle Trek (and of course, Jason Monda!) Parker won "Fan of the Game" because he was cheering so loud. It was pretty cool to see him on the jumbotron!

I'm still trying to squeeze in workouts when possible, but I must say it's been very difficult. I'm running only 1-2 times per week, but I'm trying to be more active with gardening and yard work. Eating right has been hard too. We are running around town so much and getting home so late after games and practices, it's just been easier to hit a drive through. Bad habit, I know! Tball is nearing the end, so I think I will be able to get back on track!

March Catch Up

This month has been so fun! Well, minus Parker getting bronchitis and a sinus infection at the same time...Poor guy can't ever seem to fight off a cold like the rest of us. Anywhos, germs can't keep this family down! We've been living it up!

We've made it to a couple of WSU games. Uncle Trek has done so great and we are super proud of him. Go Cougs!

We tagged along with Caw and Grammie to Spokane. We did some shopping, eating, and swimming at the hotel. Or as Callie calls it, a "Showtell".

The fam had an awesome time at the Monster Trucks too! It was loud and dirty but that's how we roll. The kids were entertained and thought it was SO awesome. We'll be back next year, that's for sure!

With the nice weather brings out my running bug again! I have been running pretty regularly and feel really good! I'm not as fast as I was at the end of last summer, but that's okay. I'm really just running to keep my weight down, not to win any marathons! Although, I could totally win if I wanted too...yep, totally.

Cory has started coaching again and that's always fun. I love watching his players improve over the season and cheering them on. GO LIONS!

WSU Home Opener and Snow!

Uncle Trek had his first home game at WSU yesterday. The weather was predicted to be snowing, and snow it did! The game ended up being cancelled before it even started. The kids were so bummed but the game on Sunday will now be a double header with clear skies in the forecast, so we might head up again. Parker was SO happy to see snow again. Callie cried in the car because she was so cold. lol.

Blerg.

Well I did it again. I went MIA on ya'all. I seriously don't even know where to start to catch you up on our happenin's for the past 2 months. We had birthday parties, baseball galore, a new cousin, camping, tball funtimes, bike rides, preschool, dental visits, hiking, running, March of Dimes... You know what? I think I'm going to just post a whole slew of pictures to share.

Go Cougs!!!

Uncle Trek signed with WSU today!! Congrats to Trek for such a great accomplishment!!

We got to go to the high school today and watch him sign his papers. It was pretty cool. The news was there and did a little interview. Not Trek's favorite thing to do, but he did great.

Parker was bummed that Trek won't be a Lion for much longer, but I think he'll grow to like Cougars too :) He also thought we were going to get to watch Trek play some baseball. It's hard to explain these things to a 4 year old!!

Callie keeps saying she's a big girl now because she went to high school.

Anyway, we are very proud of Trek and can't wait to head up to Pullman next year for lots of Coug games!!

Camping and Baseball in Seattle

This last weekend Cory, the kids, and I all went camping to Dash Point State Park with Cory's family. Trek had a baseball tournament so it was the perfect time to get away, camp and check out some baseball. By the way, google Trek Stemp..he's an amazing baseball player from this area and we are super duper proud of him.

We kinda started off the trip on a bad foot. Parker was diagnosed with an ear infection/possible sinus infection the afternoon before we were to leave. Poor guy. This was my first experience with an ear infection with one of my kids. It sucked.

So off we went with a very crabby kid out into the woods. The actual roadtrip went very well. The kids slept most of the time.

We hit the beach where Parker held his first crab. Wasn't scared at all. Callie wanted no part of it.
While walking to the beach we found this really cool tree that had fallen and was totally hallowed out. It looked like a giant tree slide! Cory took each of the kids down it.
The next day we went to a baseball game, where the kids just wanted to run around and play. After the game we hit the beach one more time before going out to dinner with the fam and heading over to Greg and Jean's house.

We were tired at the end of the day and Parker was actually mostly in a good mood. That made things much easier! Both kids slept through the night for some much needed sleep. The next day we packed up camp and headed to another baseball game before heading back to the good old Tri-Cities.

Some older kids at the game caught a little garden snake, killed it, and left it by the bleachers. Parker thought it was the coolest thing ever. Callie let out a little scream everytime Parker touched it, but eventually she poked it and ran. The kids thought the snake was "sick" and needed to wwarm up in the sand. This would surely make him feel better. They buried it and it was time to go.

We got home late on Sunday and getting my booty up for work on Monday was tough! I didn't exercise at all while out of town and ate like crap. I'm oretty disappointed in myself. Parker has completed his ear drops and all is well in our world again.
